  • Removing old style Argo sprockets

I noticed a few forum posts that if the old Argo pinned sprockets were seized on, the recomendation was to cut the axle in order to get it out. A bearing puller installed through the inner bearing mount holes worked for me, and I don't need to buy new axles. The puller was about $35 Can and I had to get some longer bolts for it. As you can see in the picture, it was under a lot of strain, and the geometry is not perfect, but because it goes through the inner bearing mounting holes, it can't come apart.
It worked great, and no banging and smashing with a hammer.
Thought this might save someone a few bucks.

I just bought this machine and once the mechanics are out I can remove the rest of the forest in the bottom of the tub.
