Slipping transmission gear?

This summer I bought my first Argo, 1986 8x8. I've enjoyed it quite a bit, however recently it started making a gear slipping noise when doing a hard right turn. I'm thinking it's transmission related. Has anyone ever heard of this problem. Also it's not a bearing type sound mentioned on another post.
If I put light pressure and do a wide turn or if it's a slick surface like mud then it doesn't happen, just on hard right turns.

Symtom sounds like chain slipping on sprockets. Check the right side ones on the small countershaft, also the primary chains coming down from the trans.

I didn't notice ones on a small countershaft, just ones going down to drive the wheels, I'll look at it again.
Before I posted I took a quick look and compared the right side to the left side for the chains going down and they seemed to be the same tightness. Also I compared the left and right side slack adjuster spring tensions on the chains going from the front wheel back and they also seemed to be equal in comparison.

For the chains going down, is there an adjusment method to tighten any bit of slack? They are tight on the one side and slightly loose on the other... it doesn't look like there would be enough play for it to slip but if I could tighten it then it would eliminate it as a reason. ?

Behind the fire wall at the front of the transmission there are two adjuster bolts to tighten the chains. First you must loosen two bolts under transmission where it bolts to frame. Just below the brake disk its underneath you will see them. Tighten each side for a max deflection on the chains of 1/8 inch. I use mine even tighter. You may be getting slack on one side because one of your bearings on the idler shaft is bad make sure to check for this. With a bad bearing you may get rid of the slack for awhile but it will quickly return and may give out a the worst time when you are in a real jam. It has happened to me ;-)

I said right side chains.. after re reading post, if it's chain jumping sprockets on right turn I bet it's left side you want to look at.
