In this post I describe the bearings for a 1998 (and I believe all) conquest. The outer and idler bearings are the 1.25 inch bearings and the inner bearings are 1 inch.

I do not know the bearing for a 1988 but the Buffalo Bearings guy that I talked to on the phone has a lot of experience with bearings on amphibious vehicles and convinced me that triple sealed is the way to go for the outer bearings. His number is in the above linked post.
