the cheapest way to put tracks on an 8x8 is to put 6x6 tracks on the front 3 axles ,it works perfect and costs 33% less money and is easier to turn , believe me it works and it works real well !!!

A Mans level of mechanical education directly corresponds to the level pain suffered while getting it

Do you do this with supertracks and if so do you skip the extensions on the rear axles?

That sounds like a good idea. Are their any other advantages besides easier turning?

we have the ext. on all the wheels and they are the 18 wide tracks
i cant think of any other advantages off hand , but the $1800 instead of $2700 for new ones was a big advantage , also if you get used tracks (plastic) and you just use enough to do the front 3 axles it means you have lots of spares too ,for when you break some ,all you need are some keeper rings ,you almost allways havew to cut the rings off to get the tracks apart when you need to , and you will need to LOL

Robinhood, are you saying 2700 for 18" super tracks for an 8x8?? and 1800 for 18" tracks for a 6x6?? MSRP for the 18" tracks is $1942 for the 8x8 and $1606 for the 6x6, so even with some freight added in, you should price around, that 6x6 price wouldn't be too bad, but that 8x8 price is out to lunch!
