I would have an immediate look at all outer axle bearings, A warped break disk will not make it "HOP" just won't steer worth crap, sounds like something is not running "true" to me..You never said what model or year, 6 or 8 wheel.
If you were on a hard surface such as asphalt or an oil chip road,then it is the tires stretching sideways and then finally breaking traction and then keeps cycling like that making the machine hop or bounce. I've had it get pretty violent at times just doing this.Eddie
Back to TIRE PRESSURE then, Never in all my years have I encountered this, but then again I'm not in the habit of running on asphalt or semi-paved roads, TIRES are just too expensive up here over $200 a piece. It is worth popping an innertube into everyone of them and over inflating to re-seat the bead, NO they do not spin out of the rim. Here is more info. It's a 2001 6x6 Bigfoot. I took it on a quick ride 5 mins, it happened on a gravel road and also on a paved road. The tires are the runamuck have them on because I've been waiting for the snow to run the tracks. Ive checked the bearing 2 weeks ago when I changed the tires, only ran the machine for 10 mins in the yard since ive checked the bearings.
Tire psi is 4-5. Ive noticed it hop in the past but not like this. I'm planing to replace pads, rebuild the master cylinders, and have the rotors turned before next summer, just so I have one less thing to worry about for the summer.

runamucks are a real soft and flat treaded tire so it might be possible that on hard surfaces your just getting too much side bite. the tire is having to break traction to turn and that is causing the hop

4 or 5 psi is a lot, the runamuks don't have any trouble staying mounted at low psi.. I'd run no more than 3 in the front and drop a 1/2 lb ea. axle as I went back. With an empty vehicle/no tracks, anyway.

thats what im thinking the more i play with it. it only did in in high.
now i have a crab issue. wish is was better with engines. i hit a little hill and jumped it while towing my son on his slide now the only way to get the engine to run above idle is with the chock almost all the way closed. trying some carb cleaner but looks like i will be rebuilding it.

Sounds like some trash hit a jet, check them for debris and you may want to replace the fuel lines. Fuel line is cheap, they may be crumbling and letting debris get to the carb. Filter should be catching anything from tank.

Well, I fixed the carb today. A lot easier then I though. Read the how to on route 6x6 and it made a ton of difference. Should have done that sooner. Thanks for all the help. As far as the hopping it only dose it in high. Thanks everyone for helping.
