Pulling engine - any suggesions while it is out?

I am having to pull the engine (18HP Briggs) to replace the starter gear. Any suggestions or maintenance I should perform while it is out?

i would be checking front axle bearings and jack shaft bearings, would not hurt to also check chains closely. much easier to do with out the engine in the way. also could go for a good cleaning while empty. just my thoughts
