argo meat wagon

Finally started my meat wagon this week. It is a walking beam axle with argo wheels and topped with a 150 gallon rubbermaid horse trough. I will be posting pictures this weekend. I have most of the welding done just need to smooth some parts up and file the holes on the beam. My brother drew the plans up on his CAD program and we saved it to a PDF file that I have attached for any one that wants it. Hope the attachment works and a big thanks to Rock Doctor for the inputs!

Post Away guys I just wanted to start a thread for trailers as I have not found many post about them before so anyhow post away I am letting the last coat of paint dry now so hopefully I will get those pics up today.

Realy nice! It looks bad a$$ with the wide Rawhide tires. I used regular used quad tires because I could get them real cheap. It also has a 2" receiver on top so I can move my winch there and pull the moose right in.

Looks neat with the tub on there.
Also looks like you are going to install a rear hitch as well, for pulling 2 or more trailers

You could use it as a portible "Hottub". I've done that with mine a few times, works great to clean up the kids after a long day of playing in the swamps. All you need is a heat source (firepit/torch), some copper tubbing, and a 12 volt RV pump. Heat it up and climb in

How heavy is that tub? It really is a great idea. Is it heavy enough to install Argo Drain Plugs in the bottom?

Do you think it is going to float? I wasn't sure how much weight you had in it with all of the metal pipe.

I like the hot tub idea how long does it take to heat up a tub? The tub is pretty light I can move it around by myself and it has a drain plug in the middle side about 3/4 inch. Supposed to be tough my buddy has been using the 100 gallon version for several years no problems. I will be swapping out the tires to the runamucks when I take the tracks off. I think I figured the metal goes about 150 lbs. I still need to make my gas can/ water can holders for the front and back and my lid. I will be putting the rear hitch like you suggested, that little section of frame that comes out the end makes moving the trailer a one man job, just lift the tongue and set it on its butt and spin it where you need it. I hope to see some more trailers and for some of you with more practical experience to chime in and let us know some does and don't or what have you. O and I am pretty sure it will float with those tires and that tub but we will see just will have to be careful of the river crossings. Thanks all

It can take a while to heat the water, depends on how you do it. I built a heater out of a section of Stove pipe, a coil of stainless tubing, and a tiger torch. I guess I could take the chill of the water in that tub in 30-45 minutes. Good enough to clean the kids up anyway :-)

My Dad and I use the Argo for hunting every fall and we have 2 trailers for the occasion.

This trailer we picked up for free and made the wooden sides and we use it for moving around firewood, drit/gravel, and meat. Might add a walking beam to this one in the future

This trailer is the trappers and has a walking beam which makes it tow so easily that you can forget its even there.

Fuel can holder add on

Decided I needed a fuel can holder. I welded a set up on the front to hold 2 jerry cans of fuel. That should free up room on the top for other stuff. I really wanted to do the same on the rear but I am worried about it dragging on drop offs. I will post more pics of it all together with the lid on latter.

A few more pictures the one iss the bottom side of the top with the seal i put on it. the other is the ring I welded on, I have one on the rear as well. I can say those two things where priceless on my moose hunt. If I got stuck I was able to disconnect and hook up a strap and just pop it out.
