I finally got to take the Argo out on a real trail for a real ride this weekend.
Oh Yea...
The exhaust on my machine is an atv muffler a previous owner put in the muffler box. The problem is, a hole was hacked through the end of the box for the pipe to the engine. No watertight flange. (That hole is wide open too)
When I got into some mud this weekend, the tires quickly 'pumped' muddy water into the tub.
Dirt and water over all those nice clean bearings and chains...
An idea I've been toying with is to mount the muffler above the fender with some sort of heat shield pass through the plastic. Then seal up the muffler box.
This would prevent a fold down windshield as an option in the future though.
Suggestions?
