Argo Brake upgrade

Has anyone upgraded from mechanical to hydraulic brakes on an Argo?

I have made a reversed system with my mechnical brakes (push to brake) as I couldnt use the twist throtle so throttle is now pulling the levers. Works great but requires adjstment on the callipers too regularly.

I havnt even seen how the hydraulics mount up, so any advice is welcome.

I fabricated my own brackets and used a hydraulic system from a racing go-kart
found it on ebay for about $150.00

I am more than a bit slow reading this one.

I will have to do a recce at my local kart track to find what suits. I had a 100cc Kart years ago and remember small discs and pads. I'm sure things have evolved since then. Thanks for the heads up, If you have a pic I would love to see it.

it's a common item for VW based sandrails

and for the guys that already got hydraulic brakes; a very good upgrade is to change the brake hoses for stainless braided hoses to prevent hose expansion during braking. ( myself I use solid steel automotive type brake lines )

That is going to make things so much easier. If anyone can provide a recommendation on callipers I would appreciate it. I might even give the bike wreckers a try too.
