    outboard?

    Hi all,,, I have to haul my Argo every once in a while for a long distance and want to know if its ok
    to leave my outboard on the transom in the down position or should I be removing it from the Argo?
    After the game the King and the Pawn end up in the same Box!

    Seems to me taking it off and laying it on the floor inside would be the better idea, even for short hauls.

      I'm with Paquette on this one. You would probably never have a problem leaving it there, but in my overactive imagination I can see some possible issues with it

        I always remove mine for safety sake. I may never have a problem with it mounted but to be sure i removed for transporting.
        Life should not be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in an attractive and well-preserved body, but rather to skid in sideways , cigar in one hand, whiskey in the other, body thoroughly used up, totally worn out and screaming "WOO-HOO, what a ride!!!"

          ok thanks guys, last thing I would want to do is damage the Argo from the weight of the outboard being left on. Off it will come!
