thanks guys, theres still a few hours worth of work to get it attached.its not perfect, but way better then the $400 tag attached to a factory made one.i have to give 70% of the credit to my friend alan.

here we go boys got this sucker all glued down and riveted.used a super duper plastic adhesive to get it stuck down in place.then after i riveted the sides the entire edge was caulked with windsheild glue (urethane).total project time roughly 14 hours.total cost was about $200.00.not counting ones time.

Nice work. It turned out really well. Now hurry up and get it the rest of the machine back together so you can go scratch it up.

Plott, any other tips or suggestions on this project?

Looks like I'll be building my skid in the near future.

                  Thanks!

its actually a really hard thing to do.i think it would have been easier to just buy a conquest skid plate and make it work.

I just replaced the skip plate on my 02 conquest. Bought it new from dealer for approx $650.00 cdn for the complete kit and hardware. That was a chore in itself with a new skid plate. I would not want to have to frab a piece of hdpe to make one.

I would imagine with a plug, a great big heater and a huge vacuum bag it would be a piece of cake

I haven't got any of those

                          Well, I'm gonna try it.

I've looked high and low for a used skid, and no joy.

All the $$$ I'm sinking in to the Argo, I gotta try it to save some bucks somewhere. Oops, maybe I shouldn't say sinking.

The local plastics shop I'll end up buying the sheet from said they'll have their fabricator give me some pointers on how to do the project.

                          Thanks,

                          Ken
