  • My newly designed and built rollover protection

    Hi Guys,

I just designed and had my friend build a rollbar for my Argo 6x6 Frontier. It was designed with 4 pins and some clevis's to quickly remove if a tree was downed in the bush. It is for obvious protection if I should flip it.

What do you think? A friend in Nova Scotia welded them up for me and I know he is interested in making more for others.

Looks good to me. I like that you made it removable. There is nothing more frustrating than making it down a trail only to find you can't fit under a fallen tree because of your rollbar. Plus, now you can do some crazy off camber riding (while taking video to post on 6x6 World of course) and not have to worry about rolling it.

      Nice,
So do you have seatbelts installed too, or is it just to keep the machine propped up off you?
If I had one of those, my wife would turn it into a cloths line when I wasn't looking

Actually no seat belts but I'm considering installing them. The main idea is to keep it off my back should I end up rolling over. As for the clothes line, I could see my wife using it for that too except she'll need bigger clothes pins.

I just saw a set of seatbelts in an avenger last week, fist one for me. Looked easy to do. It also had the removable rear seat.
Would you put 2 or 3 across the front seat?

I would only put 2 across the front if installed at all. I would think the retractable type would be best fastened under the back edge of the seat.
