  • Argo rollover, flips

I have decided to ask before the fact. I haven't rolled or flipped (endo) my 8x8 yet but I think I have been pretty close a few times. Being a cripple it could pose a bit of a problem. The roll-bar setup I have mounted is on the peaked dome of the top section of the body and In my amature opinion it should the tough enough to handle an incedent.

    Any advice or theories.

I haven't any photos other than randoms like attached. 2 mounts on each side one on the back.

Do you have two roll bars there? It's hard to make out in the picture. The body itself should be enough to support that bar. How do you have it attached? It looks like you have a plate on each side of the body with a bolt from one to the other basically sandwiching the body between the metal plates at the base of the roll bar?

That does look like a great place to camp.

Is that a factory rollbar installed by an authorized service center? If so, I think it's safe to assume that it WOULD be enough protection as Argo wouldn't make it or include it as an option unless it met (Argo) specific safety and protection guidelines.
It's all just nuts and bolts.

The main roll bar is a one piece that is raised above the seats. Each and has a plate bent to form a "C" that conforms to the moulded body. I have it braced by one bar that goes to the back (the same type bend) half inch bolt through the middle of each c holds it firm. To me it seems strong and if I do squeeze between two trees it allows for some flexability but after seeing the other bars on Argos around that mount on the outer rim was wondering if I am missing something .

The camp is an old abandoned mining area with one of the few waterholes in a large dry area of land. No humans lots of animals.
