To much slack maybe? How far did you go and what conditions were you on. They don't like anything hard and pointy such as roots and rocks.

I would recommend tracking the middle 2 instead of the front 2

no not much slack maybe too tight had to use large channel locks to squeeze segiments together approx 2inches

A few questions, if you don't mind
              Were the track segments new?
              Where did they break?
When you put the tracks on, were your tires inflated or flat? (I install my tracks with the tires flat, then air up the tires to get the track tension that I want)
Did you measure your track tension in some way, after you put them on? (Trying to get a feel for weather they were too tight or not)

The reason I'm asking is that I have 2 sets of tracks, and have never "Broke" a segment. I've worn them out, and munched up some guides, but never actually broke any.

There are really not many ways to put tracks on wrong, so you should be able to get this straightened out pretty quick.

Tracks were used, maybe hairline cracks???They broke just back of the pin.Installed with tires deflated.Have 19 segiments now and 1 half link will try that.20 segiments toooo loose,19 tooooo tight hope 19.5 is the answer???

How much pressure are you putting in your tires?
I run about 3psi without tracks and up to , but preferably under, 5psi with tracks.

OK, I have had a few of the "Pin Lugs" break off segments, usually when the segment is pretty worn out and it has always been the ones on the outside edge of the segments.

I try to replace segments when the "Pin Lugs" are worn about 2/3 of the way through, or so.

                  Another question:
Are you running 22" Runamuck Tires?

Well, A bad day hunting is still better than a good day at work

Not sure what to say about the tracks Are they OLD, maybe been sitting out in the sun for a period of time (UV damaged)? Not that I've ever heard of UV damage to tracks, but I guess it might be possible.

Can you get us some detailed, close-up pics?
