    If your Response has all double 50, it (should) need 4 10ft lengths to do everything. The 3rd and 4th axles will take 5ft each. Lay out a 1st and 2nd axle chain, and a trans chain.. that should come out of a 10ft length.

      hey guys..whats wrong with taking links out of stretched chain...you hav to put a connector link in to join both ends anyway dont you...they dont com in loops..
      what am i missing...

        Besides the reasons mentioned above(ruining sprockets), taking a 1/2 link out of an argo chain shortens it by 5/8" on 50-2 chain. That will be too short to pull together.

          Chain Maintenance

          Look down a bit - he has a pretty good description of chain wear and effects on sprockets. Good pictures to describe what happens.
