Throttle cable and twist grip replacement

So as usual, replacement argo parts are impossible to find on a saturday afternoon in West Tennessee. Now I'm gonna miss out on duck hunting in the AM because of a stupid broken throttle cable. I've looked all over for a similar cable, and it aint happening. I went to a Honda dealer, Harley davidson dealer, tractor supply, NO DICE. Guess im down until I can rig something up, or order the way over priced factory replacement.

This silly cable is a cross between a lawnmower and a motorcycle throttle cable. Has anyone converted a readily accessible motorcycle twist grip/cable to fit the vanguard? If so can you shoot me a photo of how you rigged the engine connection?
