  • 1995 Argo Conquest chains

I recently purchased a 1995 Argo Conquest and I must admit I know very little about them but am mechanically inclined. I get some chain slap on the bottom pan when turning, my question is how do I know when the chains need to be replaced?. How much chain would I need to replace all the chains? It currently has 247 hours on it.

    Chain Slap is pretty normal.
Check the chains with a Guage, or just "eyeball it" by checking how close the chain is to the frame suports. If it's getting close to rubbing, it's time to change.
I think it's 30ft of chain to replace all of it.

247hrs is NOTHING, you SHOULD be good to go.

Well it looks like the chains are rubbing on the frame so they will need to be replaced. What type of chain do I need and does all the chain get replaced including the chain from the transmission down to the drive axles?

Other Than 50-2 chain does anyone know exactly what chain I need to include the pitch.

The "5" in 50 means 5/8ths inch, that is the pitch. I've never seen many options on 50-2.. there's not enough room for o-ring chain, etc. And I think you need 40ft. If you search this site, there's been a lot of talk about where and what brands are good buys, quality.
