  • Argo Conquest front drive sprocket set screws missing are they suppose to be in there

I was replacing the chains on my 1995 Argo Conquest and noticed that the very front two, left and right drive sprokets do not have the set screws in them, the holes are there but no set screws. The sprockets look like they are moving maybe a 1/4 inch on the splined shaft. I looked at a parts diagram for the Argo and they don't show them being their. Are they suppose to be in the sprockets as both are missing and the parts manuel doesnt show them? It does not look like they are in the transmission sprockets either.

The sprockets on the front two axles are free floating and shouldn't have set screws.

Same with the ones on the Idler Shaft.

Put some anti seize or thick grease on the shafts so the chains can pull the sprockets where they want to.
