  • chain tensioners twisted?

All of my chain tensioner arms are twisted. Is this normal? My argo is a "87" and they are problemly original.

Yes this is normal, you can take them off and reverse them so they are re-twisting (is this a word?).

What Mike said. By reverse he means the top/bottom arm will be the bottom/top arm when reinstalled. They will still have their twist but it will be opposite and "wrong" for the forces on them. This means over time they will go flat and then eventually twist to look the same as they do now. Then you swap them again.

You can also put them in a vice, apply light heat with a torch, and bend them back straight. Takes a little patience, but I've done it.

I like the hard top on your Argo, do you have any info on it?

The top came with the machine. It is an ARGO brand. I just took it off last week and it was problemly on it since new. All the bolts were rusted solid. I got it over thanksgiving. I need need to do some fixing.
