  • Argo's in the snow (Vid, New IKAM)

My daughters and I went out for a little ride with the Argo's today. Both have finally been outfitted with there tracks. Got a chance to try out the new IKAM. Pretty sweet little unit for the price. Very easy to use, but I think I was a little off on how I had it aimed, would have been better if I had it pointed down a little more.

I put a bunch of 3/8"x 1 1/2" Bolts through the holes in my Supertracks, to see how it would help on the hardpacked snow, seems alot better now. I put bolts through on the inside of the track as well as the outside, so I also had to put a strip of UHMW Plastic up under the lower tub/fender to protect it from damage.
Both machines did well, but a few extra inches in track width makes a difference sometimes

Rock Doctor, that is an impressive performance by the machines, the camera, your daughters and your dogs. You live in a beautiful area. Not to many people can go out their back door and enjoy the great out doors. Your Daughters are truly on their way to becoming the same great driver as their father. Thanks for sharing the video, as always I truly enjoyed it.

Just thought I should mention that the vid is not as "choppy" in it's original form, as it is on YT.

Thanks, we are fortunate to have this place to call home. I just couldn't imagine being any place else now.

The rubber ones "squeek" alot. I also noticed that there were no "chain windeup" issues with the rubber ones, maybe becouse there are plastic pieces running across them on the inside. Must let the tires slip a bit, if needed. Still have found no info in them, as to who made them.
No issues with the Supertracks either, but I've always had good luck with them in the snow.

LOL, I made those on the last big trip we made in to our cabin and just left them on. It does a fine job of holding the tarp up. I do the same thing with my trailers that I pull behind the Argo, except I use PVC pipe (works well, and is flexible so it won't break when it catches a tree branch).

I loved seeing your daughter driving a huge 8x8 by herself. She seemed to be doing really well already. You had better be careful though, she is going to be outdriving you before you know it.

I am guessing that is your new to you machine. Better find another one in the near future, you have 2 more girls that i think will want their own machine to drive.
                Great video! Thanks for posting!
Life should not be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in an attractive and well-preserved body, but rather to skid in sideways , cigar in one hand, whiskey in the other, body thoroughly used up, totally worn out and screaming "WOO-HOO, what a ride!!!"
