Two smaller wheels?

I found some more time to continue on 197? Argo 6x6 restore. I dismounted all the tires. I want to clean up the wheels to remove any rust. I'll likely hit them with the wire wheel and then some tremclad.

After I got all the tires off of the five bolt rims I noticed that two of the wheels are about 1/2 -1/4" narrower than the other four.

Is it possible to use these wheels? What is the recommended placement of the narrower wheels?

A rim that is not as wide will bulge the tire in the center making it a larger diameter. But......I doubt 1/4 to 1/2" will be noticeable. I think you will see that much difference in the tires alone. You could air up your tires to identical psi, and measure the circumerence. Take the 2 smallest tires and put them on the 2 smaller rims.
