Welcome to the site muddoctor. While I don't know enough about Argos to help you on Argo-specific problems, there are some basic things to check with any AATV.
You will definitely need to pull the floorboards and check the chains, sprockets, axles, frame, etc. I'm going to point you to Hydromike's now-infamous post on purchasing an Attex . While some of his points are Attex-specific, they also apply to your situation.
Check that post out and really take to heart the part about getting all six wheels up in the air. If you do that and remove the floorboard, you can usually see if you have a driveline problem. From a bent axle to chains that are out of alignment.
Also just drive the Argo and pay attention to how it reacts. Possibly ride with someone else in their Argo before hand to see how theirs performs just so you have a baseline to judge by. Be sure to put it in the water and see if it leaks badly, etc.
Most likely with a machine that new you won't have to worry about many of those things but it never hurts to check. Who knows, the previous owner could have been a "Whipper wanna-be" and tried to jump a few cars with it
