  • Avenger hood scoop size

Hello all, does anyone know the dimensions of the hood scoop that Argo sells? I just bought a used Avenger and the previous owner cut a hole in the hood. I'm hoping that I can just buy the scoop and it will cover the hole. If it doesn't, does anyone know the cost of a new hood for a 2008 Avenger? One last question, are the new suspension seats that are on the HDI going to be available as an accessory for the Avenger? Sorry for all the questions! Thanks!

I installed the same scoop on my avenger, but have not cut the hole yet, the factory one has a black steel screen under the scoop, part# 602-59. Since I have not cut the hole, I have the screen in my hand right now, It is a trapezoid shape, it's a rectangle with one end wider than the other, The dimensions are....
Wide end (passenger compartment side) 13"
    Narrow end (front) 9.5"
    Length (front to rear) 19.75"
The scoop covers this screen, but needs the hole about 1/2" smaller on all sides to allow for the mounting bolts, so the max hole size it would cover would be 12 x 8.5 x 18.75"
If I remember right the scoop and screen was around 30-40 bucks canadian.

The suspension seats are listed now on Argo's webpage here Amphibious Vehicles - Amphibious ARGO ATV, ARGO AATV, ARGO All Terrain Vehicle you will have to call a dealer for price though. I imagine they are a pretty penny, I want them but am afraid to ask the price LOL!!
***** I may be wrong on these seats, I see it has no part # and just says its a factory installed option, so maybe you can't buy them seperate yet.... Check with a dealer and if they can't get it for ya call ODG direct, they are usually very helpful. *****

And don't be sorry for asking questions That's what this site is for !! Hope these measurements help ya....

Thanks for the info! I'll call about the seats and post what I find out. I'll also post some photos of my Avenger as soon as I can. It came with a set of 18" supertracks, 2 spare sections, and wheel spacers that I want to sell if anyone's interested. The Avenger only has 75 hours on it. Thanks again.

If my memory serves I beleive about 1000-1200 for the suspension seat upgrade on a new avenger... It is not something that can be retrofitted easily to an older unit, I think the whole seat frame is different, plus the plastic of the upper body is cut out differently as well...

I spoke with the dealer today. The suspension seats are a factory installed $1208.00 option. It would be tough to fit it to an existing Avenger because the frame and body would have to be altered. Sounds like too much work and cost. Oh well, time to find something else!
