I would look into the axle rating of the trailer, and if it's a 2000lb or greater, I would say yes, it would haul an Argo. The design could play a part in that as well, is the trailer have a raised deck, over the tires, or are there fenders built into, or sticking up into the deck?

A 5x10 is what i used for years to haul my machines. I have a 2006 Avenger, it is a tight fit with only about 3/4 to one inch play on both sides but yes it will fit. I had to move up a few sizes to haul 2 machines but if i only carry the Avenger the 5x10 is the one. NOTE: Like Rock said, before you buy try your machine or, A machine on it because designs differ so make sure before you purchase. My machine is running the Argo 25x12x9 tires which are a little wider than the Rawhides.

As far as machines 6 v/s 8,.... i have a Avenger and really enjoy it. Some of the trails that we ride are a little tight due to the extra length but we all make it. I have a 9.9 Mercury outboard for mine also and we go in the river in the summer. I know the Avenger is quiet stable in the water.

      Hope this helps
Life should not be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in an attractive and well-preserved body, but rather to skid in sideways , cigar in one hand, whiskey in the other, body thoroughly used up, totally worn out and screaming "WOO-HOO, what a ride!!!"

if you ever plan on getting tracks you'll need 6' and even then , 6' is tight with tracks
He who has not cruised the back country in a 6x6 , has not lived life to it's fullest
A Mans level of mechanical education directly corresponds to the level pain suffered while getting it

thanks a lot..just bought my argo,93 8x8, never had one before,i think it will be fun.... needed a trailer so bought new at homedepot,a5x10 galvanized, single axle, is 60 inches wide,inside...$1,500,,it was cheaper to buy than to build...not sure how wide my argo is?...thanks again...this site is very helpful...trailer is good and the argo fits on it with about an inch on either side...it could be wired a lot better, but other than the wiring harness, it is a great little trailer.......

I had a 5'x8' trailer that I used to pick up my Hustler 950. The 950 just fitted in between the side rails with a few inches to spare. And it did not fit the length, it was in backwards with the rear end pushed up over the front bar and the winch rollers shoved into the ramp. I recently sold it and I am now looking for a larger trailer. Thinking about a 5.5' x 10'

I have an Argo 6x6 HDI with rubber tracks, a snow plow and a sand spreader on the rear hitch, I have a 2070 lb rated Snowbear utiity trailer with a full drop steel mesh loading gate ( stantard stuff). I am able to load the argo with about one inch on each side and 3 to 6 inches front and back. Trailer bed size 6 feet by 10. The trailer rides better if I drive the argo in backwards ( less weight on the hitch). Without the plow and sand spreader I have +-20 inches front and back that gives me lots of room for camping/hunting gear in summer.
