I tried using 5/16 clear tubing, but it would not fit down the dipstick hole. I think 1/4 tube should. I'll give it a try tomorrow.

We made the gas jug/vac trick today, using quarter inch clear tubing and it worked out fine, except the tubing kept curling up inside and would not get all of it out. How do you all keep the tubing from curling up? BTW it comes off the roll curled and would not straighten up. Is there yet another trick to straightening it out?

you can try heating and stretching some as it cools. a hair dryer, heat gun, or put in pot of hot/ boiling water and pull to straighten it out, just be careful not to over heat and melt or weaken.

Yup. Sounds like a nice trick to me. The next time I go to change the oil I'll give the heat a try.
