On a '97 Conquest. This is the main drive belt. Do I need to disassemble a clutch or can this be done with a prybar and a brick?

Take the inside cover off so you can see the transmision and belt. With it out of gear get a hold on the belt at the bottom and roll it off the driven pulley.Put the new one on the engine pulley then on the top of the driven pulley and roll it back on.

That's nothing. i do the same thing with serpantine belts but instead of a screwdriver i do the hole thing just using my left pinky toe. I tried it once with the right pinky toe and a can never try it again with that toe.Originally posted by jpnewby View PostTry this:
