  • What argo is better suited for playing?

I been looking at these and was wondering about the HP. I was looking at a 99' conquest with a 20hp engine 8x8,I like it,big enough for my family of 4 to all fit in.
Then I was looking at I think it was 2001 big foot,it was the 6x6,smaller,but 9 times out of 10 I will be by myself anyway so im not basing my buy on a family thing,But it was also powered by a 20hp engine. Would the conquest be under powered?
Out of these, any models 6x6 or 8x8 what one is better then the other just for trails and playing with. I dont plan on doing anywork with it,other then maybe plowing my drive.

I have yet to see a place a 6x6 will go that my 8x8's won't go. If you want to haul gear and family, maybe plow snow, I would recommend the 8x8.
They are not underpowered in most cases, but not overpowered either. Personally, I have started putting slightly larger engines in my conquests..... 27-29hp makes a big difference.

I can vouch for the Bigfoot. The Argo Bigfoot was one of the best 6x6 produced at it's time. I have found after driving an 8x8 that for me in Vermont it was a little too big for some of the trails. I really like the way the limited slip allows you to turn and drive more smoothly than if it were locked. I also like the positioning of the rear seats, my kids fit there very well and there is still a little room For a cooler. I would like more power, but I say the same thing when I'm driving my v8 BMW, and it has plenty

I also like the 6x6, they are a great machine. They just don't have enough room for me, even when I'm running solo, I have so much crap with me I would probably have to pull a trailer (Keep in mind that if I break down, or get wedged in a hole, there is nobody around to help most of the time).
