maybe try some Dyna-mat sound proofing material. i believe some of it has a silver paper/foil covering on it, which would work good for deflecting heat as well? Just a thought..i'd let some other chime in as well.

I have officially caught the 6-wheel-sickness!!
"If your gonna be dumb, you better be Tough!"
"I have done so much, with so little, for so long, that I'm now capable of doing practically anything with virtually nothing...."
They are louder with a top on.
Just out of curiosity, what gearing do you have for your trans? High, Med, Low? I have one low geared, 3 Med Geared, and several friends have the high geared. My experience is that the low geared is the loudest, and the high geared ones are the quietest.
I've tried several different additives to the trans to reduce noise, but have had very limited success going that route. The soundproofing material might be worth a try.
i am going to have to look for the tag (not like it is going to make a difference) i am betting low ratio/high noise
i just wasted 20 bucks for lucas synthetic, no difference in noise level, but a fun 4 hour experiment.
i don't really want to get into sound proofing because i am a bit of a heat whore and come north east'er season i am going to want every btu i can get in that cab.
ear plugs work for me, but i can't see the dogs liking them!
