On my old magnum the cooling fan ran all the time,as soon as ign key was turned fan would run.on my 96 conquest is it the same or does the fan come only only when hot???help

On my '01 Conquest the brake disc cooling fan runs anytime the key is in the on position,it is not thermally controlled.

On your Conquest, the Brake Cooling fan is electric and should come on with the key. The engine cooling fan is driven off the engine, and will only turn when the engine is running.
I have a switch in line on my Brake Fan, so I can turn it off at times when I don't need it running.
