I think this is Bigbird's Argo. He runs four goodyear rawhides facing backwards in the front and four goodyear terra tires facing backwards in the rear.

my bigfoot does go twice as fast in reverse,i thought it was because of the arse being up in the water like the bow of a boat.

if you reverse your tires what does it do to your traction on land????

There is a trade off when ever you reverse the direction that the tires were made to run on an amphib. When facing them with the V-shaped pattern forward or in the traction position ,, you'll loose water speed , but gain more mudding ability. Bigbird is a large man and with the engine and transmission near the front of the tub, the rear of his 8x8 comes slighly out of the water. This gives his Argo 8x8 a paddle wheel effect in the water. At the Humphrey amphib event that used to be held each year in New York ,an Argo Avenger set the fastest water speed with 8 Terra tires that had the V-shaped pattern facing backwards.
