Ever see the trailer hitch bike racks? Google Images You could build it on a regular hitch insert so you could still pull a trailer. Maybe even build a platform (up hi) for extra cargo. Google Images

Can of Fix-a-flat. Obviousely more compact, and it will get you home where you will do your full tire repairs anyway.
