  • Tread Direction

Richard Mellon from Outdoor Quest TV suggests running the tread with the v pointing forward. The only tires they run opposite is the rear axle for swimming propulsion. Any thoughts or experiences? They have been running Argos a long time so you would think they would know.

I tried it, and it did work well in some conditions.
I don't run mine that way, but similar. I found that having the front tires reversed, the machine did not climb out of ruts as well.

Right now, my tires are all on in the swimming position, except the 3rd tires back are reversed. This allows me to swimm forward and, to some extent, backwards as well.

I say give it a try, it might be just the ticket for your conditions.

Interesting. So you say the 3rd row of tires you run v foward? Is the only benefit for swimming, or does it help you back out of sticky situations?
