  • Fall Fun 2011

Had a great hunting season, no record breakers but no breakdowns. Thought I had a problem with the yellow one it kept making a odd noise that drove me nuts, turns out I had left a 3/4" piece of pipe in it, which would roll out from under the fuel tank ding on the fram, and then roll back under and hide.

Looks like you had a great hunting trip. Nice moose. Great setup on the argo as well....
Even if you’re on the right track, you’ll get run over if you just sit there.

I guess those cans can go with your trophy that you have on your machines....

The Argo's do ok without the tracks?
Most Avenger's seem to run tracks..
Might try mine without tracks this season.

New tires are big improvment over the Runamuck. But the tracks have alot more floatation.
Hey, Northerner. I'm going hunt next week

To me the tracks are great in the nasty stuff, but over kill in dryer conditions we like having one of each. We seem to use the Yellow one for running around once we get to camp. I put 4 ITP Mud lite on the Yellow one this year and they seemed to improve its performance in the mud.

One can't moose hunt with out "Moosehead" beer, can he??? LOL

Great pics and congrats on the moose. What unit were you in, looks like a fun ride! What are those two rods up high going from the back of the green machine to the trailer.. some sort of stabilizer? I've tried pulling a meat wagon (single, not walking beam) through similar terrain, but the trailer I have has a narrower axle width than my Response and tips a over a bit. Any tricks/tips?

The rods tie the trailer box to the trailer tongue, and give it strength & stability. My trailer is the same width has the argo with the same size tires. I have in the past used a single axle trailer and it was a little more prone to tipping, The walking beam has a much smoother ride. You could try some axle extensions, like the ones used when adding tracks to the argo that would give you 2" on both sides.
