recently bought a bigfoot with the factory rops and the manual tells me not to float the argo with it installed, well to me its kinda useless having the machine if a cant do that! just wondering if anybody has tried this???
thats because their factory Rops weighs almost what the machine does to meet the ROPS standards! 8x8 might be ok but on a 6x6 in the water would be a little scary

I've done it, it just makes 'em a little more "tippy" in the water. If it concerns you, there is the "Pontoon" option. They are inflatable, and mount to the outside of the machine. I've seen pics, but never tried them.
If I was crossing SLOW creeks or maybe Beaver Ponds, I wouldn't worry about it, just be carefull. BUT if I was out on open water with the possibility of wind kicking up some waves...................well, I wouldn't be out there.
thanks for the advice guys, iam sure itall float just a little tippy. iam not planning on crossing any major water body with it on. goin huntin in an hour or two!
I have a well built homemade rack on mine and it doesn't like to float. In a swamp or little creek crossing not too bad, but out just floating around is pretty tippy. I don't use mine for any real water crossings though, so its not too important to me.
