  • What about this little argo

This argo is confusing me. It has hydraulic brakes, but it has shear pin axles. I did not know that argo made GREEN argos with that hood that were shear pin. I saw a red one with that hood once and shear pin axles, but it had mechanical brakes.
    so:
Would it have 1 1/4" axles?
Would it have the same clearance issues for tracks as other 80s argos?

It has a 17 Hp Kohler, I have not had one of these, but I saw one, and I trying to remember if it was single cylinder.

This is for sale, and the price is fair, and I am emailing the guy for the serial number

I think that the older argos with the sheer pins and hydralic breaks were because the hydralic breaks were a factory option??? I think i read on ODG's website that they started back in the early 80s with hydralic breaks as an option.

THAT IS SOO COOL!!!!!!!!!! what are you going to do with all of them? if you have to hide one from the boss, let me know, ill make room

I did, she was a local purchase. Hope it's all it's cracked up to be. Mostly the wife didn't like the mechanical brakes on another 83 that I have. I guess this one needs brake pads and some chains and stuff, But I am generally happy. Price was fair, and could not be tweaked down to extra fair, but I like it

Argo changed from shear pin shafts to spline shafts in the 1987 model year for 8 wheelers; I had an '87 8 wheeler which was 15 units away from having splined shafts and the shear pins were a real pain. I now have a '92 magnum 8 wheeler and it is much better.
