  • Argo sagging body repair

I swear I have read about this on here. Is this the right way to fix the sagging body problem

I have a 1983 **NEW** argo that I want to track, and my mechanic told me today that it has only 3/4" of an inch of clearance between the tub and the tires in places. I MAY be switching to 21x11x8 carlisle AT 101s to improve clearance if necesarry. We might have found a distributor who will ship to AK at a reasonable rate

look through my thread in the argo section.i used aluminum checker plate to beef up the body and it still allows for body twist.

I know one guy that pulled his tires off, propped the machine up off the ground from under the fenders, then heated the plastic. The weight of the machine was enough to push the fenders back up into place. Once it cooled it was fine.

He might have added weight to the back of the machine, I don't recall for sure.

I have sure thought that too. I was thinking to brace it with an underbend, bolt it with a bit of tension on it, and then heat it afterwards to achieve this. Did you get my PM, RD?
