  • Big red finally went to the doctor

My 90 magnum is finally in for organ transplant surgery. My friendly neighborhood argo service rep/max dealer has her scheduled for a bandolero. There will be parts requests, there will be discussion. Stay tuned...

Well, I it's gonna be a lot of work in a little while, but I hope you can find to test drive that bugger on tracks before I get home! I might need you to do some measuring, I am considering just upholstering the entire inside of both cabs (nylon foam sandwich)

The black square is where I am mounting the 20mm machine gun. Ok, so the plan is to have this rig (and another one) cabbed and tracked for moose and caribou hunting in Feb, when i get back. So, here is the muffler my argo man is suggesting, it is from Tulsa Engine Warehouse
Briggs & Stratton Part , MUFFLER, 808911 on sale from Tulsa Engine Warehouse
Here is a picture of it, for those of you who just don't have the time and/or bandwidth to be clicking on links

The application is "out with the Kohler magnum 18/ in with the Bandolero 30ish HP"
The argo man says the following:
Aaron , looks like we need a muffler. I think the # is briggs 808911 but
cant tell if it has the correct exaust spacing. should be 11.508 inches
centerline on the ports. check it out

                2D MAX ALASKA
Once you ride in a MAX you won't want to ride on anything else.

Now, I laugh, because the Max Man's signature is not accurate.
Does anyone have experience with this swap, or have a muffler they can measure, or have a muffler they can MAIL
                Expert advice is appreciated
PS: Mod, please do not bump me to the engine forum, I would like to keep a running thread going for 90 days while I get my two argos cabbed and tracked for hunting, and I would like to do it here, will be discussing cabs, and tracks, and tires, and engines, and all kinds of things, but will keep it to this thread

Trevor, ok, so its not for a machine gun, previous owner just thought that would make it easier to change the oil.....ya...awesome work, man.

no probblem buddy, i am at your beck and call. My dad and i both own 78 ford broncos, and he insulated just the top of his fiber glass top IT WAS SO MUCH WARMER. What ever materail you use will be great, but make sure it dosent condensate moisture? how many hours does that bandelaro need on it to be broken in? I would love just to cruise it easy with out tracks to at least that point so when you get home you can really run the dog snot out of it and it will be 100% proven good to go (but you do know your going to spoil me right??)

I think that Bando might spoil us both. Here is is going in

                    Parts list to date (needed)
A 23hp briggs oil filter relocator, that looks tight
                    A left brake caliper
                    A center outlet muffler
also looking for IN Alaska, a left headlight to fit a 97 conquest, and an older argo fuel tank

Jaydon, yes, I think I will probably use nylon pack cloth, but I may go with vinyl. just want a warm, easy clean surface for the interiors. I might have alaska tent and tarp send me some fabric

The Bando drove today. Early report says no torque, but it also has no muffler
