  • a few argo ?'s

How does the bottom of a Argo's handle rocks? Is their some kind of skid plate to get?

  • #2
You can break abs or tear a hole in poly depending on what machine you have. Many machines have a skid plate already, some you have to add yourself I you want one. Rocks arnt that big of a deal unless they are jagged pointy and large hit at high speed. if you are careful you will be fine.
l like to buy stuff and no I don't do payments!

Is it possible to run 4 tires 2 in front and 2 in back with street tires just for around the neighborhood?

I have double that amount into my 1970 argo 6x6 so i'd say he found a steal. Some of us would concider that price "next to free".. Great find!!

rember since you have gone from 8 to 4, that is double the wear and tear on those 4 tires axels and chains. If you are worried about it maybe you should step up to a higher tire air pressure? It will skid steer better on pavement or packed gravel, but will ride rougher. I mean go from like 2.5 psi to like 4 and if that is livable, go tos 6 psi.. and welcome to our forum! Great deal on the argo, i hope you enjoy it as much as we all do!!!

One more ? Can I run any tire that will fit the rim? I know that it may not tread water as good but will it still float? Just in case and thanks for the welcome

You need a tire with a chevron style tread, or some other horizontal bar type. Remember as the machine turns the front and rear tires slide sideways. Too much side bite and your machine won't handle right.

Never thought about it that way. What is a reasonable price for the kind of tires that are stock and who makes them
