Ok what you have is a four stroke set up, which is more desirable for trail riding and utility work. The clutches in your machine are set up for 4 stroke so they engage at low speeds. 2-stroke clutches are cheap, but you will need at least a primary clutch and possibly the driven. It probably can be done. if it will fit it can work, but decide what you want to use the machine for, because unless its racing, I would keep a four stroke set up. A more popular change out would be a briggs vanguard. The 16 or 18 works fine, but many people opt for the 23. It comes down to how much money you want to throw at it.l like to buy stuff and no I don't do payments!

Thank you aphibious drew. I had a 20hp vanguard brand new off my mud buddy mottor and went on vscstion and some body took out of the garage and my lil tool box and didnt feel like buying another so i decided to go with snowmobile motor. was going to use a 76 scorpion 440 motor.
But now i might use a 1987 ski doo motor its 500cc and its electric start and pull to and also fan cooled. the sled came with the clutch and also the driven pully to.
? is will my gear case hold up. im not racing it. Just lil bit trail riding and ice fishing the bay.
