      Thanks,
I've never plowed snow with an Argo, but it seem like several members here do. Maybe they will chime in.

        Bucky,

There are several treads with vids of people using their machines to plow snow.

Member Zircon has a couple vids. Here is a link....

Hope this answers some of yuour questions...

Hey Bucky wont be right if I didnt chime in since I plow quite a bit with a Avenger and prior to that with Magnum,s, conquest, etc,I plow mostly on wheels and without extra weight in the back and for the most part no issue, heavy wet snow 8 to 10 inchs a little challenging but not a big deal, the real issue with wheels no tracks is pound into a bank and hanging up is a problem, also if you got to push snow into a high pile you are in trouble, with tracks of course everything is better, even with plastic tracks(going to take some abuse here)you might have to get a run at it ,but my old plastic tracks were studded, you never hang up and can push up a mountain of snow, issues plowing with a Argo #1 you need a alternator, plenty of juice to run the winch it will kill a battery fast without,I have and had a alternator on all the machines as well as a set of posts like on a tow truck for boosting in the rear and kept a large deep cycle batt hooked up to the main,#2 you can heat the bejeebers out of the brakes when angle plowing keeping the machine nosed in to the snow,I alternate direction often to give the other brake a chance to cool down, other than that love plowing with the Argo with the top up heater on with T shirt on watching the neighbors turn themselves into frosty the snowman with there walk behind blowers, that said you dudes out on the east coast get stupid snow,my next project is I seen a White(make) huge self propelled snow thrower with duals(probably what caught my eye)this thing was 5 feet wide with a 18hp or so motor on it I want to get one and rip the bars of it and the wheels and mount it on the plow brackets remote the chute its got its own power pack and go for it there thats the true answer.Cheers N.C.T

Knew I would forget something Bucky, and the most important, unspool your winch and respool it so the cable is pulling from the top of the drum instead of the bottom, its all about angle,if its pulling the plow up from the top of the drum its angle is proper if from the bottom of the drum then its always bending the cable over the roller fairleed and will keep breaking the cable.N.C.T
