Greasing Outer bearings

Where did you guys with newer Frontiers and HDis find rigid grease gun extensions long enough to reach through the wheels and get to the bearings? My local auto parts stores only have the flexible hoses, or the 6" rigid tubes that are far too short.

I bought two pieces of1/8 inch black pipe one foot long and two coupling at home depot. This gives me a lot of options when trying to get to distant fittings.

That's a good idea. I jury rigged a sheath for the flexible hose out of some thin metal tubing that I had laying around, but want something a bit more durable.

I find trying to grease the bearings through the (far to small ) hole in the rim a pain in the.............but I have had good sucess with a 16inch flex hose and a side mounted grese fitting. It is easy to get arround the tire and eliminates the frustration of trying to allign the end of the hard pipe grease fitting with the nipple on the bearing.
