Ok i seen lots of post about tire swimming and people are willing to spend big bucks on new tires why? I bought a used 7.5 johnson motor and i drive into the lake start it up cruse along than get where i am going raise it up and drive away.all this for 399.00 plus it is pretty nice sitting back there just crusing along.i just cant imagine spending big bucks on tires and still going slow along. On another note I have seen an increase on the water intake on the new bearing design mine are comeing up on 10 hrs i went from a 1 oz. at install to just under a cup this is after 5 hours on the lake still not bad but I will retourqe everything at the 10 hr mark and see if i gain anything.We will not have ice on our lake but one can hope

Well, from my perspective, I feel the need for swimming is more important to get me across soupy bogs, beaver ponds, rocky creeks, and such. An OB would be great on a lake, but would get damaged pretty quickly in other types of swimming conditions.

yes i agree just the lake is here beside the house and the best riding is off the lake so for me it made senseComment
