ARGO Winch Kit installation

Hello ladies and gents...
New here in the AATV world. Just getting delivery of an 8x8 ARGO Avenger on which I intend to mount a winch. In order to do that I need to purchase and install a winch kit. I saw the photos of what comes with the kit but no-where on the net I can find a diagram or some photos showing what goes where... I am sure once I get it, it will be like the old ERECTOR set and everything will just fall in place but, does anyone have some photos of the kit installation, or any pdf files that would come with the kit, or any information that would give me just a remote idea of what is going on here? I saw the kit includes a reinforcement bar that would have to be mounted inside on the frame - that would be my # 1 question - any photos of that, where does it go and how? Thanks in advance....

avenger winch kit

HI ZFLYBOY, I am not sure about the new Argo HDI model. I know that there are some frame differences from either the 26 hp. model or the Efi model. On either of those models the bar makes a loop starting at the frame on each side and going to the top front of the machine on the inside of where the winch mounts. I expect that the two bolt holes on each side of the frame are pre-drilled even if you don't buy a winch. We hope so. The bolt up is not what i would call simple but it is straight forward ( i watched it being done ,i didn't do it) That makes it easier,ha ha. good luck

There are detailed insalation instructions available for the 622-105 Winch kit. Call your Local Dealer, they should have come with the Kit. If you bought th ekit else where Im sure they would be more then happy for e-mail you the PDF

Thank-you gentlemen for taking the time to respond. I am still wondering about this so do any of you have any photos of this kit (how does it look when it is installed, where does it bolt onto and so on..). Thanks again...

This manual actually helped a bit. Now I have an idea where the hoop goes. Still can not picture though how does a large hoop go through the hood opening, or maybe it is not that wide after-all... Thanks again....

i thought the same thing, how can that fit and i hope i don't have to split the body to get it in. if you look in the engine compartment down to the frame you will find the mounting brackets where it bolts to and see it looks like it will fit through the hood.

Thank-you.. I will only get the Argo in 2 days - this coming Monday - but I have already ordered the winch kit. I will make it work no matter what. Thanks again.
