The Centaurs are very, very tough and very reliable machines. They run a 3 cyl DAIHATSU aka ( Briggs and stratton ) Diesel engine with and without a turbo ... you can even get them with a gas engine but I wouldn't suggest getting that. They run #80HD chains and I have never seen one break yet. They are able to pull 10km of hydro line with no problems at all. Anything else you want to know just let me knowComment

I think i have a thread some where that i prove that a 22X11X8 tire makes 130 LBS of floation... times eight i REALLY beleive that you can make a centar float. (16 tires totoal.... i think that they ALMOST float with 8 tires on them but dont drive it into a lake unless your sure)Alaska floating atvs group on face book. Fixing help and trail rides!!!!!

I cannot tell a lie I was told by an Argo rep that the Centaurs do float stock from the factory but they DO NOT and WILL NOT tell the general public this information only because this machine wasnt designed to float across a river ... i was designed to push it way through swampy areasComment

The Argo rep told you correct. Here is a video proving that a Centaur 8x8 ------> WILL FLOAT.
