I did my Conquest before there were kits available. Parts cost me just under $100 per axle (Canadian)
Very similar to buying 8 "Package 2" kits (No Axles)

do you think you can use the HDi bearing extensions on an 80s argo? I want to konwif the frame is wide enough to accomadate. I guess if you dont know off hand, would you slap a tape measure on the extension for width and ill go check the frame

Thanks RD,ya I got a complete change up,all axles, brgs, new extensions the whole she bang, just wanted to check out the other prices out there to keep the pencil sharp of the dealers I use,not sure whether this is good money spent, never had axle issues much but now with the big rubber tracks kinda figured it might not be the worst idea I have had,and with a potential repower in the near future it would be one less question in my mind.N.C.T

don't expect the HD axle not to snap, the axle shaft is the same but the wheel flange on the HD is thicker than the regular axles.

so if your non-hd axles are good, I would reuse them to save money.

Thanks Smog as always you are looking out for my financial future and trying to curb my wasteful spending your input is always a common sense approach,my concerns were the wheel flanges that's where I have seen breakage,I got a couple of fellas that will purchase all my take off,s so it offsets the price nicely.N.C.T

We did the hd upgrade to my bigfoot. Bearings, cages and axles. I'm very happy with it.
