Well, priced out a 2012 HDI with canopy, winch, tracks, windshield and brush guard. $32k and change. Wow. Over double what I paid for my first Argo with all the accessories. Maybe my old one does not look so bad anymore.
Thanks for all the advice everyone. Very interesting to hear all the opinions. The machine is sure improving but perhaps not quite in parallel with the price.

Yea Cartman thats heavy and I assume you are U.S side, when my father first started buying the Argo brand when I was a tadpole he was paying in the 1200.dollar range, they are starting to have a problem selling them now and its easy to see why,I last bought in 2005 and it was tall but that price is about 12 K higher and thats factoring in my recent track purchase, the Avenger I currently own will be the last brand new one for me,when I cant fix it anymore than Iam to old to run it.But I have seen on the classified section here on 6X6 a couple of nice clean low hour Avengers at what I consider to be a fair price.NCT

Same for me. The day I won't be able to fix my avenger 2005 means that I'm too old. They are crazy with the price. They have to make large profit out of one because they don't sell anough. That's one way to think. The other way is to take less profit and sell more. There are no reason for selling them at that price. They are a lot more pricy than my little Kia Rio.

I am in Canada and it seems our friends in U.S. are able to buy significantly cheaper. Makes it more painful since they manufacture them in Canada. You would think Canada would get better or at least similar pricing! Same deal with Bombardier (Can-Am) - made in Canada and they are also a lot more expensive in Canada.

ROALMAO,Your Canadian huh then you are scr####,brutal isnt it,Bombardier is a great company and employs many but as Canadians we have supported that company big time and yes we have to pay more for their products than our U.S cousins its far from the proper way to do things,if I were you I would be looking south of the border for that Avenger, not sure but cant see it being a biggy at the border, unless you are to far from the border to make it work.NCT

If you buy new south of the border, just throw a bunch a mud on it on your way back up. It's not fair at all for you guys to pay more.

Just for all the Canadians to be aware - I just checked with ODG and if you buy in the States they will NOT honor the warranty when you bring it across the border. Nice protectionist policy to allow gouging of the Canadian consumer by ODG/ Canadian distributor/Canadian dealer. Not impressive.
