Wild footage. Like the camera concept, don't think i have seen that approach before. That is some messy stuff your riding in there, but the machine is up for it. Thanks for posting!

I had the honor of running my Argo on Doug's property today and just had to comment on this video. Just watching it I did not really get why it was referred to as a ditch. I did not see any banks or any sort of ditch at all. What I now realize having stood in the spot Doug shot the video is he AND his 750 are floating on a mat of vegetation. Below his Argo the ditch is like 6 to 8 feet deep. If you get out of the machine the mat will support you but you can perforate the top layer and fall through. You can stand like 6 feet away from the machine and bounce your weight a little bit (but not too much or you will break through) and rock it back and forth. It is really weird and you think you will break through at any moment. The ditch is like 30 feet wide and maybe 1/2 a mile or so long. I guess it was dug years ago during the Conservation Corps days by hand in an effort to drain the land and is now overgrown. It would be impassable with anything but our machines with the Adair tracks in my opinion. It was an awesome experience. Thanks Doug.Originally posted by foxvalley View Post

I did like the new camera angle, thought it looked good. Hope you don't mind if I steal the idea.

You convinced me with the adair tracks. Snow, slush and mud, no problem. Now just need the money.

OMG! You want me to go back in there????!!!!! uh... well... uh... ok. It is very fun. Good call to because I was in low the whole time. I know high will work as good, because, believe it or not, at no time did I feel that I was getting stuck! Looks like Sat. I am getting my old vanguard back here with adair tracks, and have the green light from the boss to "go for it" (giggle giggle). We are also dumping in a bigfoot with adairs on. Yaaahhhhoooo!!!

That is the very place that you bring other machines to test there abilities compared to your HDI-challenge and fun and knowing you can do it are what makes amphibious machines so great.Originally posted by foxvalley View PostThanks mightymaxIV !!! I drove by this spot 6 or 7 times before I got up enough guts to drop it in, and no, I'm NOT going back in there! Gail is having great fun helping out. Hey, let me know what you think of these next two clips, it's a different way of doing it.
Your latest videos are great!
I would go back to the area that gave your machine trouble and run that whole area in high range just to see the differance in the machines ability with VS low range.
That is also the very area where I would take the 6x6 with Adair tracks to give it the test of it's life.Last edited by mightymaxIV; 04-04-2012, 11:28 AM.

Yes, I did, but the great thing about it is it's in a waterproof case,or I never would have did it. Having it fall off and getting run over was my concern.
