I was just out in the bush for 4 days, and woke up to this on Saturday morning. By Sunday morning we had about a foot of new snow.
I had driven my truck about 8 miles in on a snowmobile trail to save myself some ride time, as well as to get my truck off the highway. Let me tell ya, it's a little bit of a ................. well, lets just say that I was thinking my truck and trailer were going to be sitting on that trail untill next winter. Hard to keep to the packed part of the trail when you couldn't even see it.

          Beauty Pics, nice place.

I don't have 12ft of snow anywhere here right now, but I did get a bit of video from my trip. Just doing some editing, and hope to post some clips shortly.

I would like to get a good helmet cam, And take some video. I do have a good camcorder and take a lot of vid of my trips. But a good helmet cam is the way to go.

The look of nice clean crisp snow is beautiful.....espically looking at someone else pictures..Do not have much snow here...had a small dumping on the weekend but most is melted away again....just enough to make things wet and dirty....
Even if you’re on the right track, you’ll get run over if you just sit there.

                A couple of suggestions
Simple, easy, foolproof, cheap, but not super quality. Check out IKAM Video Glasses. Put them on, push the button, you're recording. Push the button again, you're not recording anymore. That's all there is to it.
Simple, easy, almost foolproof, expensive, good quality. Check out VIO POV1 or the newer POV1.5
The VIO is a little more involved, but I really like it.

Go Pro seems to have a large following, but I have never tried one, or even held one in my hand.

Now on your cams is there an image stabilization in your cam or just in your editor. I use the stabilization in the camera and in Imovie on the mac. The Imovie tells me what clips are stable. Do the helmet cams have this built in?

I think yes, for the VIO, and no for the IKAM

Almost time to do some Spring Service on the machines
