    Spring is here {Maybe}

    The wife took the conquest out Friday day And went snowshoeing on the way back it had fuel trouble. She knew enough about the fuel system to fix it and limp back to the truck. Sat. I put a new pump into her and new lines and cleaned the jets in the carb, plus New plugs. { The prevues owner had the old model plugs in her. that are shorter. Bad move for the performance of the motor.)
    So sunday I had to take it out and test it out ( WOW). What a difference in performance.

    Sorry...looks like still to much snow to consider it spring.....that is more snow there now then we had on the east coast of Newfoundland all winter.......But I am sure it made for some good riding....

      Not to be picky or anything, but isnt it wise to park side ways on a down hill slope? I doubt the argo could have rolled away in that much snow, but good habits are a good idea. I have a lot to learn still, and i dont want to pick on you at all. Those are WAY cool pictures!

        Kudos to your wife for getting it off the trail! Good skills to have when out and about... When it comes to spark plugs in an engine I have found that just because it fits does'nt mean it belongs. Always better to check the manufactures recomendation. Some motors are more tolerant than others with the exception of boat motors. Wrong plug= burnt piston!

          These motors that were made after cb17857 sin No require the longer plug. Kaw changed the head and piston. The old plug will fit and work. but it,s too short for the new head. But do not put the new plug onto the old motor or you will be buying parts

            Photos can be deceiving at times You are right PARK SIDEWAYS . The last thing you want to happen is to see your rig to start to roll and go over a cliff. Be for I got out I made dam sure . (It was not going anywhere.). Thats what i like about the mountains It Adds a little Excitement to the trip. One false move One misjudgment and you could be in trouble. Its not like getting stuck in a mud hole You get out Kick a tire. then winch your self out and then do it again. In the mountains I use the argo as a tool not a toy

              I figured it was like that. It takes a hell of a lot to get an argo, with tracks, to roll, and you were breaking trail. I just worry that guys like me, that are NooBies would see that photo, and try it in only 2 inches of snow. I was 100 Percent sure it wouldnt roll away from you in the photos (if it could have it would have, damn murphy always get close and ugly out in the sticks). I hope i didnt offend, it is just i know you are realitivly new to argos (like me) and i wanted to pass along some knowledge. And yes, i tried a rock on a step hill as a tire chalk and got to see the argo roll over it and smack a tree. No harm, no foul, but i park sideways now, so i dont have to play "where oh where has my Argo gone, where oh where can it be".... that and the death glare the wife gave me... wanted to know if i regularly let our transportation home fall off the side of a mountain.... She was mad enough that i had to tie the winch to a tree when i parked from then on.... even on level ground. Smart lady, but i still fee dumb!

              Now, back to the original post, those are AMAZING pics and the only blue argo i have ever seen! The mountain and snow is the best!

                MURPHY'S law. Yes that is one thing that will sneak up on you and bit you in the Ass all right. I still have some bit marks there.
                I had my old tucker set up so I could steer it with the handles or foot peddles. One day I was taking the wife up to the cabin. And I had to go around a big X ditch. I had very little room to play with. And I thought I would be smart and show her how eazy it is to use the foot peddles to steer. WELL I ENDED UP IN THE X DITCH AND THE WIFE WAS NOT VERY IMPRESSED. IT TOOK A HOUR TO GET OUT..

                  my most recent "teeth marks" from old murphy:

                  Blew a front shock on a snow machine 30 miles back in the sticks moose hunting. Then rode it out crooked. I couldnt touch the break because every time i leanded over, it would dump me in the snow... then the head light puked! Thank god for GPS

                  figured out that an orfice on the old tilotsion carb was blocked, but me bein smarter than old murph, i could unblock it with some eather. Worked great, but shot me in the eyes out of the other hole! That is misrable out where there are no eye wash baths!

                  Damn murphy follows me where ever i go!

                      Good job to your wife and great pictures...I luv the color of your machine...we don't get to see enough of the brighter colors and in the white snow they are really hard to beat
