  • Chain stretch

Just changing out the brake disc and idler chains on my 02 conquest. Is it normal to have a large difference in chain stretch. One chain was about 1/2 link longer then the new one. This was not to bad IMO but the other old chain was about 2 links longer then the new chain. Is this normal?
Even if you’re on the right track, you’ll get run over if you just sit there.

Count the number of links ...someone could have cut it the wrong length.
If a chain is not properly adjusted (too tight) it will stretch faster.
